Code-X International is an independent non-profit organization based in The Netherlands.
We provide voluntary work and learning opportunities through community projects which promote transformational, sustainable personal and community development around the World.
We bring together people and partners of diverse faiths, ethnicities, nationalities, and cultures to address profound social needs by cultivating common values and respect for differences.
We believe that global peace, justice and sustainable development begins with the inner peace and personal development fostered by service to others and that active international cooperation provides the foundation and hope for a better future.
European Voluntary Service
European Voluntary Service (EVS) falls under the European Commission’s Youth in Action (YiA) programme, and is funded by the European Union. Its aim is to support youth participation in various forms of community service and intercultural experience; its motivation —much like ours —is ‘to develop solidarity, mutual understanding and tolerance among young people, thus contributing to reinforcing social cohesion in the EU and to promoting young people’s active citizenship’ (source). As such, this programme is a primary focus at Code-X International and comprises a majority of our work.

Senior Volunteer Program
The Senior Volunteer Program has been developed by Code-X International, to address the many issues associated with our growing populations ofolder and retired persons. This program is designed to encourage active aging through volunteer projects that will keep senior citizens happy, healthy and empowered. This is accomplished through the development of specialized volunteer programs, which are suited to the specific needs and interest of our older population.

Tools4Change
Tools4Change was developed through cooperation between Code-X International and Betuwe Wereldwijd (BWW). For many years, BWW sent material tools to different non-profit organizations around the world; during the same time, Code-X International was developing volunteer projects all around the world, for youth volunteers. Yet, we both sought a way to make their contributions more sustainable and therefore have a longer impact. By combining our expertise we are able to send the material tools and human resources needed in creating technical schools, with the assistance of the local community.
